About Me

Infrastructure engineer. A decade in the terminal.

Who I Am

My job is making infrastructure boring — and I mean that as the highest compliment. If you're thinking about your deployment pipeline, something's wrong. I build the kind of systems that fade into the background so teams can focus on shipping.

Ten years across startups and enterprises taught me one thing: the best oncall rotation is a quiet one. I specialize in cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and automation that eliminates toil before it becomes someone's 2am problem.

Outside of work I run Arch Linux with Sway (btw), code to jazz and video game soundtracks, blast Knocked Loose on the way there, and am working my way through The Hobbit for what is definitely not the first time. Basketball keeps me sane. Family keeps everything else in perspective.

Outside Work

Currently Playing

My playlists are as diverse as my tech stack. These few are always on repeat:

  • Best Revenge - PUP
  • Die for you - jigitz
  • A Serpents Touch - Knocked Loose

Genres span everything from pop punk to techno, hardcore to buttrock and everything in between. Background jazz or video game soundtracks normally playing during working days.

Outside the Office

When I'm not computing, you'll find me:

  • Playing basketball - The most fun way to get cardio in
  • Staying active - Regular exercise keeps the mind sharp and stress manageable
  • Reading - Currently working through The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings
  • Family Time - Family > Everything

Films & Shows

My movie taste leans almost always to horror, but TV shows are completely opposite:

  • House of 1000 Corpses - Something about seeing Dwight outside of the office... Fishboy!
  • The Devil's Rejects - The best use of Free Bird in film
  • Seinfeld - Rewatching this will never get old
  • The Office (US) - "Power points are the peacocks of the business world; all show, no meat." — Dwight

How I Work

Calm Under Pressure

Incidents are stressful enough — I'm not adding to it

Technical and Human

I can read a Grafana dashboard and a business case. Good decisions need both

Actually Interested

I work on this stuff at home too. That's not a flex — the curiosity is just real
